October’s Employee Spotlight goes to Senior Processor Sonya Jimenez. With a strong desire to increase her mortgage knowledge and lend a helping hand, she has become an irreplaceable asset to the Operations Team. How long have you been at AFL:
I have been at AFL for 1 year and 8 months now, total years in the mortgage industry 12 years and running 🙂
What is your role:
Senior Processor
Before working here, what was an interesting job you had:
Before working here, what was an interesting job you had: an interesting job I had before working here was a makeup artist for MAC for 2 years.
What has been your favorite part of working here:
I have known Kurt for several years now and what he has created for this company is by far amazing. My favorite part of this company is the culture. Kurt brought in the best group of individuals who I consider family.
If you could do any other job here what would it be:
I would love to be a leader of some sort. I love to help anyone in any department in any way that I can to get our loans to the finish line. I love to lead by example, and I can see myself in a long-term career here at AFL.
What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work:
In my free time, I love to spend my time with my 4-month-old baby girl and husband. For the past 12 years, I have bartended on the side for private events as I love meeting new people all the time and I have my own beauty business in which I do makeup for the most beautiful brides.
What is your hidden talent:
Hmmm…I love to blog.
