Stephanie loves being a part of the mortgage industry and has successfully evolved with the times. Over her 20-year career, she has helped many families embrace the American dream of homeownership and continues to lead the charge at AdvantageFirst Lending. Her extensive experience and training are just a tiny part of why Stephanie is our April 2021 Employment Spotlight.

Here’s a little more about Stephanie Vasiljevic.

How long have you been at AFL:
One year

What is your role:
Assistant Vice President of Operations

Before working here, what was an interesting job you had:
I was a social service worker for the state of Maryland.  I worked as a caseworker for the state of Maryland.  It was an amazing job that I had a year before I made the move to the west coast.

What has been your favorite part of working here:
The team, the culture, the energy, the positivity, and the internal and external service that makes up the company.

If you could do any other job here, what would it be:
I would love to experience a day in the life of a funder and a junior. It would give me insight to better understand the challenges that they encounter day-to-day.

What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work:
I love to ski, fish, and garden.  (Basically, I just love to be outside)

What is your hidden talent:
My hidden talent is that I am an amazing baker! Homemade baklava, anyone?

What is your favorite quote:
God doesn’t give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Any other fun facts?
I have two cute dogs that rule my world. They are incredibly naughty and spoiled…which only makes me love them more.
